Rooftop solar and battery storage are important components of climate action plans, as well as a key strategy for utilities to reach 100% renewable energy. Removing unnecessary barriers in permitting processes is key to their growth.

Join CLEER, Garfield Clean Energy, the Climate Action Collaborative (CAC) for the Eagle County Community, CORE and Holy Cross Energy in this webinar to discuss:

  • The benefits of streamlining solar and storage permitting processes
  • Strategies to improve processes and lower costs
  • How to access support and technical assistance from your SolSmart partner at CLEER, CORE or the CAC

Katharine Rushton of CLEER will introduce the SolSmart program and the steps you can take to make your permitting processes clear and transparent to applicants, while saving on time and costs for your organization.

Janet Aluise will speak about considerations for local governments in pursuing a SolSmart designation and her experience in achieving a SolSmart Gold designation for the Town of Silt.

Mike Steiner will discuss Holy Cross Energy’s Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) program and the role of efficient permitting processes for Solar + Storage systems as we work together to reach clean energy targets.

There will also be an opportunity for audience questions after the presentations.

This is a free event but registration is required. After registering you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
