Energy Action Plan adopted

The Garfield Clean Energy Board unanimously adopted a new Energy Action Plan for the county at its December meeting, tasking GCE with an ambitious work plan for the next several years.

The updated plan identifies five measurable goals in light of new technologies and best practices, shifting local priorities and energy trends since the creation of the original (2017) plan. It also lays out updated strategies and tangible steps that GCE and collaborative partners can take to accelerate progress toward those goals.

More than 30 community stakeholders helped develop the plan in a process facilitated by Xcel Energy’s Partners in Energy and CLEER, and 60 individuals provided input through a community survey. We are grateful to all who participated!

The following chart outlines the goals. The full plan document can be viewed here.
