PROGRAMS & SERVICES: CLEER (CLEAN ENERGY ECONOMY FOR THE REGION)

Join Two Rivers Connect: Winter Way to Roll

Two Rivers Connect is running a winter Way to Roll program, which encourages residents, commuters, employers, and visitors in the Colorado River and Roaring Fork valleys to explore new ways of getting around—ride the bus, carpool, vanpool, bike, walk, or work from home—and rewards participants for shifting even one trip per week.

This campaign comes at a time when traffic across the region continues to increase. In 2025, Glenwood recorded a record high Average Annual Daily Traffic of 27,726, a 4% increase in vehicles compared to 2024.

The winter Way to Roll program is running from February 13th to March 30th. Here’s how you can participate:

  1. Download the Two Rivers Connect app or visit the website
  2. Log your trips when you bike, walk, bus, carpool, vanpool, or work remotely
  3. Find Rides with a carpool as a rider or driver
  4. Earn prizes like an e-bike, lift tickets, gift cards, and more
  5. We encourage Employers to sign up as an Employer Network to offer additional incentives, promote carpooling, and access custom engagement tools for your teams.

Even small shifts—say, one day a week —in how we get around can go a long way to support a more efficient, flexible, and enjoyable experience moving through our region.

Glenwood Springs Electric Rebates Available

Funding is available for Glenwood Springs Electric customers to support energy efficiency and electrification upgrades and save money on your energy bills. The City’s electric utility provides rebates and incentives to income-qualified and non-income-qualified residents, as well as commercial property owners.

These rebates can significantly cut the cost of upgrades and purchases such as air sealing and insulation, heating and cooling systems, programmable thermostats, LED lighting, and commercial energy-saving projects.

Colorado Clean Diesel Program: Equipment Replacement Grant

The Colorado Clean Diesel Program makes grants to businesses to help offset the cost of replacing certain off-road diesel equipment with all-electric or hybrid-electric equivalents. Commercial lawn mowers, terminal tractors, snow groomers, construction equipment, and more are the eligible types of equipment.

Applications are now being accepted statewide on a rolling basis for up to 25% to 45% of project costs, depending on the type of equipment.

Geothermal Power Generation Open House

Learn about geothermal power generation and what it could mean for our Colorado communities. Geothermal power represents a significant emerging opportunity, providing 24/7 baseload electricity while catalyzing a supply chain of drilling, engineering, construction, and field services similar to those that support the oil and gas sector. This includes the potential to offer durable economic activity alongside firm, local energy generation.

This interactive event will connect industry experts, local governments and leaders, geothermal developers and state regulators. Engage in technical presentations, a Q&A session, and an opportunity to meet geothermal power companies.
