Glenwood Springs offers new incentives to spur water (and energy) efficiency

Glenwood Springs water customers can now tap into a new set of rebates on efficient water fixtures, appliances, sprinkler system equipment and irrigated turf removal.

While rivers may be running high right now, the city's decision to encourage water conservation occurs against the backdrop of long-term drought and a multi-state crisis over the Colorado River's flow. Holy Cross electric buys hybrid-electric truck

GCE affiliate member Holy Cross Energy recently took delivery of its first hybrid-electric bucket truck, which it will use for vegetation management. The utility received nearly $77,000 from the Colorado Clean Diesel Program, a statewide program managed by Carbondale-based nonprofit CLEER that makes grants for the replacement of diesel equipment with cleaner technologies.
