Pedal to these locations for refreshments, swag, advice and the chance to win an e-bike!

Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned biker, here’s your chance to get off on the right pedal this summer. Join your fellow cyclists for BikeThere! Garfield County on Wednesday, June 26 (which is also Colorado Bike to Work Day) for free snacks, swag and camaraderie!

We're teaming up with Garfield County Libraries to host mini-events at each town's library from 3 to 6 p.m. (details here). In addition, Glenwood Springs Bicycle Advocates and RFTA will set up stations for the morning commute along the Rio Grande Trail  in Glenwood Springs and Carbondale (details here).

There will be refreshments (pizza at the libraries, coffee and breakfast goodies at the morning stations) and giveaways (including bike lights, while supplies last). Local bike shops and cycling organizations will be on hand to help with bike maintenance and give tips on safe biking.

While you’re there, be sure to enter to win prizes from these generous sponsors:

  • Colorado E-Bikes of Glenwood Springs & Colorado Energy Office – Gazelle Medeo T9 City e-bike (***eligibility for this prize is limited to income-qualified individuals and households***)
  • Aspen Snowmass – 4 two-person, one-day passes to the Bike Park
  • Bear Trail Bikes – gift cards & bike gear

We at Garfield Clean Energy are all about biking as an alternative to driving. Biking reduces traffic congestion, pollution, fossil fuel dependence, noise and road wear – plus it’s great for your health.

Try biking to work, around your town and especially to your local Garfield County Library on June 26, and see if it doesn’t inspire you to do it regularly!
